The Harkness Philosophy at Trident Academy

Ms. Carter and Ms. Pringle are two of several Trident Academy teachers who attended institutes at Phillips Exeter Academy last year. Part of their training included an insight into the Harkness Philosophy, something they have adapted and introduced to their middle school students. This teaching philosophy encourages deeper reflection through unscripted discussion.
