Faculty Highlights
Trident Academy has an esteemed faculty with years of experience in successfully teaching students with diagnosed learning differences including ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia. Every Trident Academy teacher is trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach and is encouraged to attend seminars and conferences that focus on teaching students with learning disabilities.
Trident Academy faculty are consistently recognized for their accomplishments. A few of these awards include:
- Trident Academy boasts four SCISA Master Teachers
- Trident Academy’s LEAD Director sits on the Board of Trustees of the Academy of Orton-Gilingham Practitioners and Educators
- Two Trident Academy faculty members serve on the board of the South Carolina Branch of the International Dyslexia Association
- A faculty member serves on the Accrediting Teams for Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS)
- A faculty member serves on the executive board of the South Carolina Association of School Librarians (SCASL)
- 37% of Trident Academy’s faculty have earned membership in the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators
- A faculty member is a National Board Certified Teacher
- A faculty member has received the Catalyst Award from the Chemical Manufacturers Association
