Start the new year off with a community of individuals dedicated to improving the lives of children with learning disorders as well as those with autism. The Center for Learning Differences Education at Trident Academy is proud to host a panel discussion on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and how it improves the lives of individuals with learning disorders and those with autism. As part of Tuesdays at Trident Academy, panelists will include representatives from ABA Outreach, ABX Solutions, New Horizons Therapy, and Carolina Coast Behavioral Center.
Parents, educators, and others are invited to this free event at 6:00 on Tuesday, January 14 for the first Tuesdays at Trident Academy of the new year. Join us to better understand the importance of ABA therapy, the methods used, and the typical results found within the classroom and at home. Specific questions that will be answered include:
- What is ABA therapy?
- Who benefits from ABA therapy?
- Can an ABA therapist help in the IEP process?
- What does progress look like in ABA therapy?
- How can educators use ABA therapy in the classroom?
- What should a parent look for when hiring an ABA therapist?
The Tuesdays at Trident Academy Speaker Series are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. on the Trident Academy campus in Mount Pleasant at 1455 Wakendaw Road. Childcare is available and admission is open to all, free of charge.
