Teachers Gain Strategies, Affirmation at Annual IDA Conference
Peggy Price, Rhonda McKenna and Barbara Waterstradt attended the annual International Dyslexia Association conference in Baltimore. Aligning with the Common Core State Standards and teaching self advocacy were hot topics. They also returned with strategies to help parents at home.

Hands-on Approach to Literature
Ninth graders in Mrs. Silgals’ literature class aren’t going the traditional route in reading “The Killer Angels.” They are reading the book on Kindles and recreating each battle using a huge model. Read more.
