Where bright minds find bright futures.
Trident Academy offers a unique and comprehensive program that structures curriculum to challenge students academically, behaviorally, socially and emotionally. In addition to the Common Core curriculum, The School for Asperger’s/HFA focuses on twelve competencies: self-help skills, behavior, family environment, receptive language, expressive language, nonverbal language, imitation and attending, play and leisure skills, concept formation skills, motor skills, social communication and community readiness skills. The comprehensive program is specifically designed to teach skills which allow each student to succeed in real-life situations at home, school, and in the community. Additionally, the program and each of its staff strive to reach each student’s fullest potential by teaching through multi-sensory based instruction. Furthermore, each child’s formalized education plan is adapted to each his/her ability and functional outcome needs.
This program currently educates students in Kindergarten through Grade 5 and will grow through the 8th grade each year.
