Orton-Gillingham Training Sessions
“It has changed the way I teach.” –Susan Nyman, Trident Academy
Orton-Gillingham training at Trident Academy offers participants the opportunity to learn
an effective approach for teaching children with language-based learning difficulties.
Taught by an Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators (AOGPE)
Fellow, the training prepares teachers to instruct diagnostically and prescriptively, either
individually or in a classroom setting.
Trident Academy is one of 17 Academy Accredited Training Programs in the
United States, and one of only six whose training is accredited at the Certified level.
Trident Academy currently offers training for the Associate Level membership.
“I am really glad that I went through the training and process of Orton-Gillingham. I have
worked with three different students – a kindergartner, 2nd grader, and 4th grader – and
am amazed at what they can do.” –Stephanie Pullon, Hilton Head Prep
