Trident Academy will now be offering lunches provided by Whole Foods Market in an effort to promote healthy eating for students. The lunch options offered will be of the highest quality of natural and organic products available. Schoolhouse Fare will provide an easy online ordering and payment system.

“Studies show healthy eating helps develop a strong body, and that proper nutrition is a fundamental building block for bright minds,” says Jackie Corcoran, parent co-chair of the Trident Academy Lunch Program. “In whole child education, one must consider the role food and nutrition play in areas such as concentration, focus and sustained learning. By emphasizing and offering healthy lunch choices to our students, faculty, and staff, we are paving the way for more effective learners and teaching quality food lessons that will likely stay with our kids for life.”

Entrée choices will include spaghetti and meatballs, chicken tenders, hummus snack pack, deli sandwiches, egg rolls, sushi, cheese quesadilla, and pizza. Ala carte items like yogurt and fruit, garden salad and fruit cups will also be offered. Students will have three drink choices: apple juice, lemonade or organic 1% low-fat milk.
