One Trustee’s Request of Parents

As you read in a previous post, the school’s Faculty and Staff reached 100% participation the 2014-2015 Annual Fund within approximately one month’s time. The school’s Board of Trustees achieved 100% participation within about 30 days as well. According to Mike Jeresaty, President of the Board of Trustees, “As Trustees, our commitment to the students we serve must be absolute. We cannot ask our school family and the larger community to join us in supporting Trident Academy’s mission, if we have not made our own commitment first, leading by example.”

Trustees have the ultimate fiscal responsibility for the school and, therefore, their championing of our Annual Fund is essential. Answering this charge, our Trustees are reaching out to others in their respective circles of influence, reminding our school’s family and friends of the students we nurture and whose lives we improve on a daily basis. Without the Annual Fund, we would not be able to bridge the tuition gap and provide students with:

  • more individualized instruction
  • cutting-edge programs
  • assistive technology
  • tuition assistance
  • other elements that comprise a first-class education

The Trustees are asking our Current Parents, in particular, to also meet the 100% participation challenge already met by the Board and the Faculty/Staff. More than 30% of our parents have already answered the call and we deeply appreciate their leadership. We hope to have 100% our parents’ commitments in gifts or pledges by December 2, #GivingTuesday, a national celebration of philanthropy.

If you have not yet made your commitment to the Annual Fund, please join with all of us in supporting the school today. Gifts of all sizes are welcome. Make your gift securely online today. Thank you for doing your utmost for our students and helping to secure their future.
