Academic Therapy provides an opportunity for students not currently enrolled in Trident Academy to benefit from Trident Academy’s diagnostic, prescriptive, multi-sensory teaching approach, individualized for students with learning differences. Academic Therapy is available for remediation in reading, reading comprehension, and written expression depending on the individual needs of each student. Math tutoring utilizing a multisensory, structured approach is also available for students experiencing difficulty at any level of math instruction, on writing and reading help, and multi-sensory math teachers. Tutoring is available in all basic subjects. Academic Therapy and tutoring provide one-on-one instruction by Orton-Gillingham trained Trident Academy teachers with a focus on direct and explicit, multi-sensory, structured sequential learning in the area(s) needed by each student. Academic Therapy sessions are usually scheduled, after school hours based on the schedule of the teacher and student.
