Sophomore Places 6th at SCISA Math Meet

Trident Academy sophomore Luke Jeresaty placed 6th overall in the SCISA High School Math Meet held on January 18, 2011. Twenty-one schools with more than 170 students competed in the annual meet, which stimulates interest in mathematics.

Two teams of five students represented Trident Academy. Jeresaty was the highest scorer on one team and freshman Frankie Holmes was the highest scorer on the other team. This is the fifth consecutive year that Jeresaty has been Trident Academy’s higest scorer in the SCISA Math Meet.

Trident Academy is a coeducational independent school for K-12th grade students with learning differences to include those diagnosed with the following learning disabilities: dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, central auditory processing disorder, non-verbal learning disabilities and ADHD/ADD. Students with learning differences benefit from our multi-sensory environment, which helps each child to develop skills that will prepare him or her to become independent learners and self-advocates throughout their entire education experience and into their lives.
