Trident Academy Earns The GuideStar Gold Level Designation

The GuideStar Exchange has awarded Trident Academy with a Gold Participation Level designation. This achievement confirms Trident Academy’s commitment to its mission, governance, and data transparency to donors. The school which specializes in educating students with language-based learning disabilities and high functioning students with autism, is one of approximately 1,500 organizations to have earned this distinction. Earning the Gold Participation Level indicates that Trident Academy has a strong foundation and a strong vision on which to grow.

“Trident Academy has a strong mission that is supported by strategic short- and long-term goals to help each student transition into a conventional learning environment,” says Dr. Kathy Cook, Head of Trident Academy. “Our experienced and highly educated faculty also advocate on behalf of the students we serve, educating the greater Charleston area on learning differences.”

Donors rely on GuideStar for important information about IRS-registered non-profit organizations. Accordingly, the organization provides the public with such information so donors can make educated decisions as they invest in causes such as Trident Academy.

“It is important that our donors know we are careful stewards of their gifts. Having a valued entity such as GuideStar to validate our efforts is both an honor and a responsibility,” says Sandi Clerici, Trident Academy Board of Trustees Vice President and Development Committee Chair. “We hope that the work we’ve done to earn the Gold level distinction allows our donors to feel confident that their gifts truly makes a difference in the lives of the students we serve.”
