Summer Enrichment

Monday through Thursday, June 1 - 25, 2026

Summer Enrichment at Trident Academy is designed for rising first through rising eighth grade students who are struggling in reading and/or math skills. Taught by Trident Academy teachers and based on the Orton-Gillingham approach, students will be involved in appropriately placed small-group, multi-sensory learning that is interactive and fun!

Academic class options:

Reading Foundations (typically rising 1st through rising 3rd graders)
Reading Comprehension/Applied Writing (typically rising 4th through rising 8th graders)
Multi-Sensory Math (rising 1st through rising 8th graders)

Each academic class lasts one hour and will be scheduled during one or two of the following times:

8:15-9:15
9:30-10:30
10:45-11:45

There are 15 minutes between each class time to allow for snack/movement/pick-up/drop-off. You will receive your child's official Summer Enrichment schedule by May 15. If you have specific schedule restrictions or questions, please reach out to Morgan Hall (mhall@tridentacademy.com). We will do our best to accommodate.

You also have the option of enrolling your child in camp classes, which will allow them to participate in Trident's summer program until later in the day. Students enrolled in multiple academic classes and/or the camp will be scheduled consecutively. Please see below for the camp schedule.

12:15-1:30 STEM Exploration
1:30-1:45 Snack/break
1:45-3:00 Fitness Fun

In order to group students appropriately for the academic classes, each child must be assessed in reading and/or math skills prior to the start date. Testing should take approximately 45 minutes. After you complete the registration form, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to make the $500 nonrefundable deposit. This secures your spot and is applied to/deducted from the remaining tuition cost of the program.

Class Descriptions

Reading Foundations (Rising 1st – 3rd grades)

Reading Comprehension / Applied Writing (Rising 4th – 8th grades)

With instruction appropriately designed per level and using visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile learning, students will have opportunities to build reading fluency and apply concrete strategies for comprehending what they read.

In applied writing using visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile learning, the focus will be centered on specific instructional needs of the students, such as improving letter formation on lined paper, developing sentence structure, or paragraph development.

Multi-Sensory Math (Rising 1st – 8th Grades)

Tuition for Summer Enrichment 2026

For the first academic class: $950

For a second academic class: an additional $850

For the optional add-on camp: an additional $1,100 for the full camp (until 3:00 pm), or $450 per individual camp class.

In order to hold your child’s place in the program, a nonrefundable deposit of $500 is required with your online registration. A link to the payment form will be given to you when you complete this registration. This deposit will be applied to the total tuition, and the balance will be due by the first session. Students are expected to attend all scheduled days of the four-week program. There are no discounts for siblings or reimbursement for days missed.
