Orton-Gillingham Associate Level Training at Trident Academy: July 22 - August 2, 2024
For more than 80 years, the Orton-Gillingham (OG) Approach has proven successful in helping struggling and emergent readers and is recognized as a Science of Reading (SoR) intervention. Teachers and tutors will learn the critical fundamentals of basic literacy. Fundamentals include multisensory strategies, essential OG principles for diagnostic/prescriptive teaching, assessment to determine a student's present level of reading/spelling, and a structured, systematic, and cumulative approach to progress nonreaders to reading success. The OG Associate Level is intended for teachers working individually or in small group instruction and will prepare practitioners to implement OG instruction, at the basic level, with fidelity.
