Ways to Give
We accept and appreciate all contributions made to our school. Gifts of cash, credit card donations, appreciated stocks, and gifts-in-kind may be made to Trident Academy. Deferred gifts, although not counted in our Annual Fund totals, are welcome and may be made by naming the school as a beneficiary of a will, a trust, an IRA, or a life insurance policy.
Unrestricted gifts help underwrite the school’s operations and areas of greatest need. Restricted gifts can be used for specific projects or named purpose and will only be used only for the purposes stated.
Any donor giving $1,500 or more annually will become a member of the 1972 Society. As a member of the 1972 Society, you will receive recognition and invitations to special events.
Contributions to Trident Academy are acknowledged in writing and are deductible to the full extent allowed by law since our school is designated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
“I gave to Trident Academy’s Annual Fund because…I know the benefit a child experiences by being taught in a safe and caring environment. My daughter and my granddaughter have both been given the gift of reading because of what teachers at Trident Academy do: teach children in the way they learn.” Betsy Fanning
How Can I Give to Trident Academy?
Trident Academy is a tax-exempt organization under Internal Revenue Service code section 501(c)(3). The school records all gifts into the proper accounts and provides gift acknowledgements to donors. Your acknowledgement letter serves as your official tax receipt. All gifts postmarked by December 31 will be receipted for that year’s tax credit.
Financial information will be provided in response to reasonable and specific requests. In every case, however, it is the policy that the names of donors and prospective donors as well as any personal or financial information be held in the strictest confidence.
You may leave all or a portion of your gift unrestricted to provide the greatest flexibility to meet the school’s most pressing needs as they arise. You may also choose to designate your gift for any program at Trident Academy. Your gift designation should be noted on your check or in a letter accompanying your gift.
